These aren't caveats buried in a settings screen. They're in the articles, attached to the charts, and cited.

Fasting boosts your GLP-1

It doesn't. GLP-1 is meal-triggered — released by intestinal L-cells in response to nutrients — and active GLP-1 has a plasma half-life of roughly two minutes. Levels are low between meals by design. A large cohort found longer overnight fasting associated with slightly lower fasting GLP-1, not higher.

Ketones raise GLP-1 through FFAR2/FFAR3

That pathway belongs to short-chain fatty acids from gut bacteria, not ketones. Beta-hydroxybutyrate has been shown to inhibit glucose-stimulated GLP-1 release via FFAR3 — the opposite of the popular claim.

Fasted training burns more fat

It raises fat oxidation during the session and produces no greater fat loss over time. Meta-analysis also found it impairs performance in longer or harder sessions. Burning more fat during the hour is not losing more fat over the month.

One meal a day is straightforwardly good

In a controlled trial it reduced fat mass without cutting calories. In the same participants it also raised fasting glucose, impaired morning glucose tolerance and worsened some lipids. Both results come from the same study; quoting only the first would be dishonest.

Eating at night is fine

Meal-timing studies consistently favour eating earlier: the same food eaten early gave better 24-hour glucose control, and eating the identical calories later increased hunger, lowered waking energy expenditure and shifted fat-tissue gene expression toward storage. The app is built around an evening meal because adherence matters — and it tells you that's a trade, not an optimum.

Every day, hour and meal count is yours to change. The default encodes a Thursday-night to Saturday-night fast, a Sunday you eat from morning to evening, and a single evening meal in between.

Repeating 48-72 hour fasts weekly is not well studied. The app states that up front rather than burying it — electrolyte shifts and refeeding risk are real, and anyone on diabetes medication needs a clinician, not an app.

Each one rests on different evidence with a different strength. Collapsing them into a single number would manufacture a precision none of them has — so the app shows them separately, marks which you want high and which you want low, and names the assumption behind each.

Driven by training alone, because that's what the literature measured. One session works within hours and decays over one to three days — which is the actual argument for training several days a week.

Adaptation pressure

The antagonist. Sustained deficit lowers energy expenditure beyond what lost tissue explains; carbohydrate refeeding raises leptin and expenditure again. Drawn as a repeating cycle — an assumption the evidence does not settle.
